In Korea, the 100th day of a baby's life is cause for celebration. In the first 100 days, I am told, a baby is at its most vulnerable. After 100 days, one would expect a baby to survive. Although this philosophy harks back to the ancient days of high infant mortality, it's still a big deal in Korean culture. Even though we're now in England, Anne wanted to celebrate by dressing Noah up and taking pictures of him.
Sitting happily in the baby area Anne set up for the occasion. |
By the end of several costume changes, Noah fell asleep. |
So, he's survived this long without any major mishaps (thank goodness). Let's see what the next 100 days holds in store for us.
