As ECC is organised with two sets of classes on alternate days, we had Halloween on Wednesday and on Thursday. I went to a wholesale type store and bought a couple of huge bags of candy. The kindergarten all got dressed up in costume. I don't teach kindergarten, but some of them still remember me from the zoo trip. We organised a group shot in the reception.
The teachers all dressed up. Maria, the teaching supervisor, was a cat, Jacki a scarecrow and the devil (two days, two costumes. She loves Halloween), Liam got dressed up in an ECC kindergarten uniform, Glen was Death (he made some of the kids cry), Marc was Robin Hood and Stacey was a bat. I was a clown, Jen was a boxer, Sarah was a comfortably dressed blue haired woman and Diddy was a princess (check the group shot for them)
The Teachers |
I had informed all of my kids that if they didn't wear a costume, they wouldn't have a party. Most of them didn't wear costumes anyway, but here are some shots of the ones who did:
Nick, Grant, Richard, Annie and Klara. |
Jinny, Sue and Lynn |
Matt, Judy and Charles |
No costumes, but a great big sugar high. Party games full in swing. |

Of course, trick-or-treating went on all day, with classes invading other classes for candy.
Trick-or-Treating |
All in all, it was a fun, but exhausting two days. I managed to finish with about six pieces of candy left, which I handed out to other teachers before I left.
